Experience the transformative power of a Numa Somatics Breathwork journey

“Every breath is a brand new beginning.”
-Matt Kahn

“From the earliest stages in Breathwork, our energy is visibly being transformed.  We look different immediately after a Breathwork session: Our skin and eyes are clearer.  Our energy feels better, and we have more of it.  We can put more into our projects and relationships and succeed more in all aspects of our lives.”
-Joy Manne

Nūma Somatics is a transformational practice that strategically weaves together the power of conscious breathwork, deep bodily unwindings through somatic movement explorations, mindful somatic psycho-therapeutic investigations, and the medicinal vibrations of sound healing.

Nūma is a psychosomatic therapeutic process, an insightful dive into non-ordinary states of consciousness, an exploration of the continuum of human experience, and a catalyst for resolving suffering.

Nūma Somatics Breathwork, facilitated in person, uses a conscious connected breath as the path to reveal and integrate charged energy—stress—that is stored within the bodymind.  Physical touch along with affirmation statements are applied, in accordance with a body map, to support areas demonstrating a non-supportive breath pattern.  Breathwork is powerful!  Through breathwork you can: reduce stress and anxiety; oxygenate and detoxify; resolve limiting beliefs; experience inner peace; improve respiratory function; increase sense of aliveness and pleasure; spark clarity and insight; resolve repressed feelings; discover trust, love, and joy; and relax your body and mind.

I super-charge my breathwork sessions by incorporating Belief Alchemy—Belief Alchemy allows me to quickly address surfacing resistance, limiting belief patterns, and deepen integration.

“There’s no limit to what working with the breath can accomplish.  My own first-hand experiences with this natural healing method have convinced me that breathing well may be the master key to good health.  I recommend breath work to all my patients.”
-Andrew Weil M.D.

Though sessions are individually tailored, they often follow a similar format.  Time together commences with connecting, creating sacred space, and speaking around the intention of the client.  In a session, typically a client is reclined when moving into the connected breath pattern.  While the breath pattern is established, I use a variety of instruments to conduct sound therapy alongside the soundtrack chosen for the session.  Non-supportive breath patterns are addressed through physical touch, affirmation, Belief Alchemy, movement exercises, positional changes, etc.  All is prescribed in accordance with the breath pattern that emerges and adjusted as the pattern changes throughout the session.  The time breathing on the mat is approximately 1 hour.  Often, this time concludes with tuning forks used on the body to facilitate integration.  After the breathwork, there is time to connect regarding the experience, ask any questions, and often homework is suggested to support the processes engaged.

Sessions are approximately 2 hours in length.

Individual breathwork clients receive a 30 minute Belief Alchemy
follow-up call, within the week after the session, to support the full integration of the session.
